What is Low Dose Naltrexone?
Naltrexone is an FDA-approved opioid antagonist indicated at 50mg for the management of opioid and alcohol use disorder. At significantly lower doses — typically 1.5mg to 4.5mg — it is prescribed off-label by healthcare providers for a range of immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory indications. This off-label use is commonly referred to as Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN).
Because LDN is not available in a commercially manufactured low-dose form, compounding pharmacies like Scripx are the only source for this medication. Scripx compounds LDN to each provider's exact specifications — in the form, strength, and dosing schedule that best fits the patient's protocol.
